The Beginning
From a Shared Vision to a Global Brand
In 2018, co-founders Elena Vasquez and Marcus Chen met at a sustainable textiles conference in Copenhagen. Both had spent years in the fast-fashion industry and shared a growing frustration with its environmental impact and disposable culture.
They asked a simple question: What if premium fashion could be both beautiful and responsible?That question became VELOUR ā a brand built on the principle that timeless design, ethical production, and accessible luxury can coexist.
Starting with a capsule collection of just 12 pieces, VELOUR launched online and sold out within 48 hours. The response confirmed what Elena and Marcus had believed: customers were hungry for fashion that aligned with their values without compromising on style.
Today, VELOUR serves over 2 million customers across 32 countries. Every piece we create still reflects that founding promise ā exceptional fashion that respects people and the planet.

2018
The Launch
Elena and Marcus launch VELOUR with a 12-piece capsule collection. It sells out in 48 hours, validating the demand for sustainable premium fashion.
2019
Series A & Expansion
Secured $8M in funding. Expanded into men's fashion and launched our signature Eco Collection made from recycled ocean plastics.
2020
1 Million Customers
Reached our first million customers worldwide. Pivoted to carbon-neutral shipping and introduced our garment take-back recycling program.
2022
B Corp Certified
Officially became a Certified B Corporation, meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance. Launched our fair-trade artisan partnership program.
2024
2M+ & Counting
Surpassed 2 million customers across 32 countries. Our sustainable material usage reached 85%, and we published our first annual Impact Report.
